What is Tangible Boost?

Tangible Boost is a prescription conditioning solution designed to restore the Tangible Hydra-PEG layer on the surface of the lens and maintain its wettability. Normal wear and tear can happen over time, thinning the Tangible Hydra-PEG coating and decreasing benefits to wettability and deposit resistance. Although the lens still performs better than an uncoated lens, patients may not experience the same "wow" factor of Tangible Hydra-PEG after the coating starts to thin.

Used once per month, Tangible Boost restores the Tangible Hydra-PEG coating, combating normal wear and tear. This ensures that patients experience the benefits of Tangible Hydra-PEG for the prescribed lifetime of their lens.

• What would cause the Tangible Hydra-PEG Coating to thin?
  Factors that may impact the coating over time include, but are not limited to:
  - A patient's unique tear composition (heavy depositors)
  - Vigorous rubbing while cleaning
  - Use of tap water on the lenses
  - Storing lenses dry
• What is included in a single box of Tangible Boost?
  A box of Tangible Boost contains all the materials required for one monthly treatment, including two (2 vials of Tangible Boost components (A and B), a lens case for soaking, and an instruction manual.
• How do you use the Tangible Boost solution?
  Tangible Boost is a 5 step process used monthly to rejuvenate the Tangible Hydra-PEG coating:
  1. Combine both Tangible Boost solutions into Tangible Boost case.
  2. Clean lenses by rubbing in Tangible Clean multipurpose cleaning and disinfecting solution for 20 seconds.
  3. Soak lenses in Tangible Boost solution for 30 minutes.
  4. Dispose of Tangible Boost solution, fill Boost case with Tangible Clean, and submerge lenses for 20 seconds to rinse.
  5. Disinfect in Tangible Clean overnight using a standard lens case. Dispose of single use Boost case. Do NOT put lenses in eyes prior to disinfection with multipurpose solution.
  Tangible Clean is the recommended multipurpose cleaning and disinfecting solution for use with Tangible Boost. Menicon Unique pH and Boston SIM PLUS are also compatible.
• Who should use Tangible Boost?
  Any patient with Tangible Hydra-PEG coated lenses will benefit from using Tangible Boost as a monthly preventive treatment to maintain the thickness of the coating. However, some specific indications include:
  1. Patients who notice their lenses do not feel the same or do not feel "as slippery" as when they were brand new
  2. Known heavy depositors
  3. Patients with exposure issues such as incomplete blinking
  4. Patients noticing an increase in mid-day fogging
• How is Tangible Boost sold?
  Tangible Boost is a prescription only product that can be sold directly by Eye Care Practitioners, or contact lens labs.

  Tangible Boost is the final step in the Tangible Care System (Coat it, Clean it, Boost it) which is:
