Dave Nachbar serves as ABB Optical Group’s Chief Human Resources Officer.

As the leader of the people team, Dave is responsible for the empowerment and productivity of ABB’s people and the fostering of an amazing company with a vibrant culture for our team members to work, learn and grow.

Dave’s team provides key services to our businesses including talent acquisition and development, belonging and diversity, employee experience, benefits, compensation and people systems innovation.

Dave joined ABB Optical in 2024 from Google, where he was Head of People for the early-stage incubator and AI teams at X. His previous roles include serving as Chief Human Resources Officer at Bausch & Lomb, Head of Global Human Resources at St. Paul-Travelers Insurance, and Senior Human Resources Officer at Citicorp Asia. Dave earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University.
